One of the main talking points regarding Inter Milan concerns its frontline. Who do pick to start up top when you’ve got Adriano, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Hernan Crespo and Julio Cruz to choose from? Well, the rumors are that Adriano, Inter’s top scorer in 2004 and 2005, is set to be dropped in favor of new boys Crespo and Ibrahimovic. Why? He’s lost form for one thing, looking particularly lumbering in his outings for Brazil at this summer’s World Cup. For another, Ibrahimovic, a skillful playmaker who’s quite good on the ball, could complement Crespo, the out-and-out natural goal-scorer, quite well. In midfield, look for Inter to start with Patrick Vieira and Sebatstian Cambiasso to provide stability and leadership in the center, with playmaker Luis Figo on the left and the powerful Dejan Stankovic on the right. At the back, Marco Materazzi will likely partner Ivan Cordoba in the middle, with Javier Zanetti on the right side and Fabio Grosso on the left.
