Argentina, which faces the United States Saturday at Miami's Orange Bowl (TV: ESPN2, Telemundo, live, noon ET), opened its three-game tour of the CONCACAF region with a 3-1 win over Honduras.
Argentina rallied from one goal down after seven minutes to win. Luis Gonzalez of River Plate and Mariano Gonzalez of Racing Club scored two second-half goals to break the game open. The goals came after Honduras was reduced to 10 men. Argentina later had two players ejected.
Argentina's experimental team faces Mexico Wednesday night at the Los Angeles Coliseum (TV: Telemundo, live, 10:30 pm ET). The only change in the Argentina lineup is expected to be Sebastian Battaglia, for Leonardo Ponzio in midfield. Defenders Ariel Garce and Gabriel Milito will likely play in Los Angeles despite their red cards against the Catrachos.
