Balboa, Ramos named to CONCACAF “Team of the Century”

U.S. national team stars Marcelo Balboa and Tab Ramos were selected to the MasterCard CONCACAF Team of the 20th Century. Balboa and Ramos have a shot at becoming the first Americans to play in their third World Cup this summer. MasterCard’s all-time world team, picked from the five continental all-star teams, will be announced June 9 in Paris.

Goalkeeper — Antonio Carbajal (Mexico). Defenders — Marcelo Balboa (USA), Gilberto Yearwood (Honduras), Bruce Wilson (Canada), Gustavo Pena (Mexico). Midfielders — Ramon Ramirez (Mexico), Magico Gonzalez (El Salvador), Tab Ramos (USA). Strikers — Julio Cesar Dely Valdes (Panama), Hugo Sanchez (Mexico), Hernan Medford (Costa Rica).
