There’s no stopping Graciano Brito, the Cape Verdean immigrant who never played organized soccer until entering college and is the NCAA Division I’s leading scorer.

Brito’s unassisted goal in the 88th minute gave Quinnipiac a 1-0 win over Holy Cross on Tuesday for his third game-winning goal in five days. He also scored in NEC wins over Sacred Heart (1-0) and Fairleigh Dickinson (2-1) last weekend.

Brito now leads the nation with 12 goals, while the Bobcats improved to 8-0-1. Quinnipiac is one of two remaining undefeated NCAA Division I teams, along with No. 2 Wake Forest.

The Holy Cross game was scheduled to be played on Sept. 8 but was postponed due to inclement weather.

Bermuda U-23 keeper Freddy Hall recorded his fourth shutout of the season, stopping eight shots in goal.
