Even if Chelsea were able to pull off an incredible year-end run and somehow take home the EPL, FA Cup and Champions League trophies, interim coach Guus Hiddink still plans to exit England and relegate himself to watching the team from Russia, with love.
"It would be a beautiful scenario to win both cups,” stated the cherubic 62-year-old. “In that case I will not walk away from Stamford Bridge in my mind, but I will have to literally walk away because I have my full-hearted obligations in Russia and that is not going to change if we win those two cups.”
Hiddink, who has reinvigorated the team since filling in from February on, has promised to do all he can to help “bring silverware back to Stamford Bridge this season,” writes Goal.com. But, his heart is in another place, with Guus gushing that “there is an emotional attachment with the Russian Federation and the people I work with. It would not be a good thing to leave them.”
