St. John defender Chris Wingert and SMU midfielder Ramon Nunez have signed MLS contracts and will be available in Friday's MLS SuperDraft.

Wingert, 21, just completed his senior season at St. John's, helping it reach the 2003 NCAA Division I final, where it lost to Indiana. He won the 2003 MAC Hermann Trophy and is a member of the U.S. U-23 national team which is trying to qualify for the 2004 Olympics.

Ramon Nunez, 18, leaves Southern Methodist University for MLS after his freshman year. Nunez, a resident of Dallas who was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, will enter MLS as a youth international, meaning he qualifies for developmental-player roster protection.
