Mike Fisher of Virginia and Cindy Daws of Notre Dame won the 1996 Herrman Trophy awards, which were presented in a ceremony at the Soccer America FanZone in Richmond, Va.
Fisher wins his second consecutive Herrman award, becoming the fourth player to accomplish that feat. Former UVa star Claudio Reyna won in 1992 and 1993.
Daws, who holds Notre Dame’s career marks for both goals and assists, led the Irish to the NCAA Championship last year, and to a runner-up finish in 1996.
