Greg Ryan, the former Wisconsin women’s coach, has been named SMU’s new head women’s coach.
Ryan, an SMU alumnus, coached at Wisconsin for nine years, compiling a 111-32-7 won-lost-tied record and leading the Badgers to two final four appearances. He replaces Alan Kirkup, who took the vacant position at Maryland after leading the Mustangs to the final four last fall.
