No. 5 Cal lost at Washington, 2-1, on junior Sean Giudice's golden goal at the final horn of the first overtime period to cap a miserable day for the top five teams in Soccer America's Men's Top 25.

No. 1 Wake Forest lost for the first time this season when the Demon Deacons fell to No. 11 Virginia, 1-0, on an own goal in the ACC semifinals.

No. 2 St. John's fell to No. 8 Connecticut, 6-5, on penalties after it blew a 2-0 lead in the second half.

No. 3 SMU and No. 4 Indiana both lost on penalty kicks. SMU fell to Bradley, 3-1, on penalties after their Missouri Valley semifinal ended in a scoreless tie. The Hoosiers fell to host Penn State, 4-2, on penalties after their Big Ten semifinal ended in a 1-1 tie.

Cal's loss opens the door for UCLA to win the Pac-10 title. The Bruins will capture the title if they beat or tie Fresno State Sunday.
