This weekend, ten conference champions will meet in five play-in games, with the winners receiving automatic bids to the 1998 NCAA Men’s Division I Tournament. The remaining 11 automatic bids will go to the champions of the ACC, Big East, Big 10, CAA, Conference-USA, Ivy League, MAC, MPSF, MVC, WAC and WCC. 16 teams will receive at-large bids.
