Soccer America Women’s Freshman of the Year
Cindy Parlow (North Carolina)
The college ranks haven’t seen a player with Cindy Parlow’s combination of skill, knowledge of the game and physical power in quite a while. Whether she was dominating defenders as a forward (19 goals, 13 assists) or setting up the North Carolina attack in midfield, Parlow was simply magnificent in what should have been her senior year in high school.
