Maryland upheld its No. 1 ranking by blitzing Loyola (Md.), 4-0.
The weekend again features several tournaments with quality inter-conference matchups: No. 5 North Carolina takes on Michigan and No. 17 VCU; Santa Clara tests its newfound place in the top 10 against Holy Cross and No. 21 California; New Mexico gets its best chance yet to lay groundwork for an NCAA berth when it faces host SMU a day after playing Tulsa, a team seeking to crack the Top 25.
