Testimonial Slated for March 23
MANCHESTER, CT — Recently retired University of Connecticut Head Soccer Coach Joe Morrone will be honored at a testimonial dinner Sunday, March 23. The dinner will be held at The Colony Restaurant in Vernon, Conn.
“We want you to share your recollections and celebrate the many contributions Joe Morrone has made to the sport of soccer,” said dinner organizer Rick Lawrence.
The dinner will be held at 5 p.m., preceded by a no-host cocktail hour starting at 4 p.m. Dinner is $35 with a choice of Baked Stuffed Shrimp, Prime Ribs of Beef, Breast of Chicken Cordon Bleu or Vegetarian Lasagna.
Dinner reservations cannot be accepted after March 20.
The committee has decided that the most appropriate gift for Morrone is the establishment of a retirement fund. If you are unable to attend the dinner, contributions can still be made to this fund. Checks should be sent to the same address.
