Krissa Campbell scored two first-half goals and Brigham Young became the first team to reach the NCAA Division I sweet 16, beating Idaho State, 2-0, in a second-round clash Saturday in Salt Lake City.

Campbell scored a dozen minutes in from Jaime Rendich's cross and doubled the advantage in the 35th minute off her own rebound.

BYU (14-5-2), runner-up in the Mountain West Conference, has won both its NCAA games by 2-0 scores. Idaho State (10-9-2), the Big Sky tournament champion, upset 10th-seeded Utah on penalty kicks in the opening round.

The Cougars will meet the winner of Sunday's Virginia-Villanova game in the quarterfinals next week Friday or Saturday.

The other 15 Division I second-round games will be played Sunday.
