For the second time in three games, host Peru came back from a two-goal deficit to salvage a 2-2 tie. Monday's tie against Colombia came after both had clinched a second-round spot because of Bolivia's 1-1 tie with Venezuela earlier in the day. (Peru had tied Bolivia, 2-2, in their opener.)

Bolivia's tie with Venezuela eliminated the Venezuelans from the tournament while Bolivia, on two points, could qualify as the second-best third-place team if Chile and Costa Rica play to a scoreless or 1-1 tie on Wednesday.
