2002 World Cup winner Denilson, who had a short stint in MLS in 2007 (eight games for FC Dallas) is set to debut for mid-standings Vietnamese league club Hai Phong Cement FC on Saturday.
“He is the most famous international player recruited until now by a Vietnamese soccer club,” said Hai Phong coach Vuong Tien Dung. Denilson became the world’s most expensive player when he moved to Spanish club Real Betis from Sao Paulo in 1998.
