Ghana, which will face the USA at the 2006 World Cup, named its squad for the African Nations Cup, which will be played Jan. 20-Feb. 10.

Ghana will be without key midfielders Michael Essien and Sulley Muntari and striker Asamoah Gyan, who have all been injured.

The Black Stars fell to Togo, 1-0, Thursday in their first friendly since setting up camp in Tunisia. With Essien and Muntari out, former Juventus player Stephen Appiah ran the midfield with Serbian-based Haminu Dramani) and Russian-based Laryea Kingston and Baba Armando.
