Haiti pulled off one of the biggest upsets in the history of the Gold Cup when it beat World Cup-bound Ecuador, 2-0, in Group D Sunday at Miami’s Orange Bowl. The Haitians got two first-half goals to remain in contention. Trinidad & Tobago’s Stern John scored on a penalty in stoppage time to give the Soca Warriors a 1-1 tie with Costa Rica in Group C. The Ticos assured themselves, though, of a berth in the quarterfinals with the tie.
