Joe-Max Moore scored on a penalty kick in the 76th minute to put the U.S. ahead 3-0. The penalty was for a foul in the box as Preki Radosavljevic made a run towards a cross. Preki had already forced a superb save out of Reve and set up Jeff Agoos for a scissor-kick effort that went just wide since coming on as a substitute. Moore took the kick and blasted it into the upper right corner, leaving Reve no chance.
