According to press reports out of Trinidad, former Howard University star Shaka Hislop has pulled out of the Trinidad & Tobago squad for its game with Honduras June 16. Hislop, who plays for English club West Ham, started the first two Hexagonal games in goal for the Soca Warriors. T&T headed to Panama for a pair of exhibitions June 8 and 10 without several key players. T&T captain Russell Latapy is attempting to sort out personal problems after being released by Scottish club Hibernian after being arrested on drunk-driving charges in Edinburgh. Midfielder Ronnie Mauge is reportedly “depressed” that his club, Bristol Rovers, was relegated to the English Third Division. Defender Anthony Rougier (Reading/England) will also miss the Panama series.
