Honduran coach Ramon Maradiaga, facing a must-win game against Jamaica April 25 in Kingston, may again be without young star David Suazo, who is having trouble getting released from Italian club Cagliari. Adding to Primi’s problems is the fact that right back Milton Reyes is injured and Julio Cesar “Rambo” De Leon, who scored against the United States March 28, is suffering a virus. Speculation in the Honduran press is that Maradiaga will be out if Honduras, with one point after two games, doesn’t win at The House. Maradiaga has recalled four new players to training: Francisco Pavon (Bleiberg, Austria), Marco Antonio Mejia (Platense), Jaime Rosales (Motagua) and Rony Morales (Platense). Out are Christian Santamaria, who started against the United States, and Jairo Martinez, who came on in the second half.
