The United States finished the first half of the Hexagonal, the final round of World Cup qualifying in the CONCACAF zone, with 13 of a possible 15 points after beating Trinidad & Tobago, 2-0, in Foxboro, Mass. The first-place Americans (four wins and one tie in five games) got early goals from Ante Razov (2nd minute) and Earnie Stewart (20th) and coasted to the victory. Trinidad & Tobago (only one point in five games) proved to be the weakest of the U.S. Hexagonal opponents. The Americans could have had many more goals if Razov, Stewart, Jovan Kirovski and Claudio Reyna had finished their chances. The only down note for the Americans was the yellow card Reyna received — the second of the Hexagonal. He will miss the next game against Mexico July 1 in Mexico City. June 20 in Foxboro, Mass.
