Things are humming along at MLS expansion club Toronto FC: the club’s new stadium, BMO Field, is 85 percent complete, the team has sold nearly 11,000 of a possible 20,000 season tickets, and the club’s roster is steadily taking shape.

On Thursday, the team unveiled Welshman Carl Robinson as its first overseas signing. The midfielder arrives from Norwich City, of England’s (Division 2) Coca-Cola Championship. Robinson is set to join Coach Mo Johnston and at least 25 of his new teammates for training camp, which begins in Sunrise, Fla in less than two weeks. The 30-year old defensive midfielder earned 34 caps with the Welsh national team.

Coach Johnston said the transactions aren’t finished for Toronto FC. “We’re in talks with an international striker,” he said, without naming names. “And I think we can get him.” On Thursday, Toronto also traded midfielder Rod Dyachenko to D.C. United for a first-round draft pick next year.
