(men’s Division III)., and Monroe Community College of Rochester, N.Y. (women’s division I), winning trophies. LBCC (25-1) overcame a 2-0 deficit, with Kim Jents scoring the tying goal five minutes into second-half stoppage time. Harencame’s winner 17 minutes into overtime gave Vikings coach Mauricio Ingrassia his third state title in five years. Two-time champ Cypress (24-1-2), which overcame a 2-0 deficit in its semifinal against American River, is located on the same street as LBCC, six and a half miles away. LBCC sweeper Cheech Gibson, considering offers from Cal State Fullerton and San Diego State, was voted tournament MVP. Santa Rosa (21-0-4) pulled out a victory in a tight defensive contest that featured only 12 shots. Santa Ana (24-1-1) had won the previous three titles; the loss was only its second in 101 matches.
