A criminal complaint against 41-year-old youth coach Rick Thall of Marlborough, Mass., for assault and battery. He allegedly head-butted a 16-year-old boy, whose mother was the opposing team's coach, at an U-10 game. The alleged incident followed a dispute between Thall's wife and the boy's mother over Thall's wife taking pictures at the game.

They want to end the practice that allows PIAA schools to play girls soccer in the fall or spring, depriving them of a true state champion. The practice stems from the desire to allow teams in the eastern part of the state to play in the spring and avoid conflicting with field hockey in the fall.
