A year after leading Jacksonville to the NCAA Division I Women’s Tournament, Coach Chris Kouns announced his resignation on Tuesday.
He leaves the Dolphins with an overall record of 31-41-10 in his four seasons as head coach. They won the Atlantic Sun tournament title in 2006 and a berth in the NCAA Tournament, the first for JU since 2000.
“My wife and I are expecting our first child and as such the time has come for this chapter of our lives comes to a close,” Kouns said.
