The Dallas Burn snapped a three-game losing streak and extended San JoseÆs winless run to four games with a 2-1 victory in San Jose Wednesday evening.
The win moved Dallas out of the Western ConferenceÆs cellar, where San Jose now resides. Landon DonovanÆs stoppage-time penalty was saved by Burn goalkeeper Jeff Cassar — just a few minutes after Simo Valakari scored the go-ahead goal in the 89th minute.
