The loan deal to bring Honduran international defender Arnold Cruz to defending champion D.C. United has fallen through.
D.C. United president Kevin Payne and head coach Bruce Arena backed off when Cruz’s Mexican club, Morelia, decided to put him up for sale in the June Mexican league draft, opening up the possibility that Cruz would not be avilable for the whole season.
