The Chicago Fire gained revenge for its loss last week to the U.S. U-17s with a 2-0 win over John Ellinger's young Americans Wednesday in Bradenton, Fla.

Damani Ralph and sub Craig Capano, a U-17 grad, scored for the Fire.

The win was the first for new coach Dave Sarachan after losses to the U-17s and the University of Central Florida.

Sarachan again used the game to look at draft picks and invitees. Among the players he used were A-League veterans Marco Feruzzi, Leighton O'Brien and John Wolyniec. Besides draft picks Nate Jaqua (No. 3), Ralph (No. 18), Logan Pause (No. 24), Ryan Mack (No. 25), Phil Swenda (No. 26) and Ryan Futagaki (No. 55), Sarachan looked at undrafted college players Curtis Spiteri (Portland) and Nick Walls (Saint Louis).
