MLS: Former Miami GM lands in Los Angeles

There was no dispersal draft for the office staffs of the defunct Miami Fusion or Tampa Bay Mutiny, but Miami general manager Doug Hamilton has been picked up by the Los Angeles Galaxy. Hamilton was named the GalaxyÆs vice president and general manager of the Los Angeles Galaxy. Prior to the Fusion, Hamilton worked for six years for adidas America, where he held posts as director of sports marketing Latin America, director of soccer marketing and director of basketball marketing. A former soccer player at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, he was an assistant men’s coach of Duke University before joining adidas. He also spent three years as the head soccer coach at Greensboro College.
