The MLS Combine kicked off Sunday with a pair of games at the Sunrise (Fla.) Hilton Sports Complex.

MLS coaching staffs were on hand to work with and scout college seniors, Project-40 players and other invited players for Friday's SuperDraft.

The two games produced nine goals, beginning with 16-year-old Guillermo Gonzalez's 25-yard free kick.

Among the players who stood out in the adidas Mania's 4-1 win over the X-3s were Jamaican international Shavar Thomas, who is expected to leave UConn and be one of the top picks in the draft, and Trinidadian Dimelon Westfield of Clemson, who scored twice.

Hayden Woodworth of Division III champ Messiah had the fourth Mania goal.

The second between adidas Supernova and the U.S. U-20s ended in a 2-2 tie. Both teams converted penalties.
