MLS’s Disciplinary Committee has suspended Dallas Burn forward Ariel Graziani for three games and fined the player $7,500 for major game misconduct during the club’s 3-1 loss at Tampa Bay on Saturday, May 6. Graziani will sit out the following matches: May 13 Los Angeles May 20 at Columbus May 24 at Chicago The three games and $7,500 match the suspension and fine MLS levied earlier in the season on San Jose’s Khodadad Azizi. Graziani, who ranks fourth in MLS scoring with 12 points (6 goals, 0 assists), was sent off in the 66th minute. The Ecuadorian national team star was trying to shake loose from Mutiny midfielder Steve Ralston, but caught him in the face with an elbow. After receiving the red card, Graziani pushed referee Ali Saheli. Graziani has started all eight Burn games and received just one yellow card and no red cards prior to the May 6 match. The ejection was Graziani’s first in 24 career MLS games.
