The MetroStars have loaned forward Eduardo Hurtado to Liga Deportivo de Quito of Ecuador for two months. “This loan presents Eduardo Hurtado with a great opportunity for serious competition this off-season,” said MetroStars GM Charlie Stillitano. “I wish him and Liga Deportivo de Quito well in their upcoming playoff run for the Ecuadorian Championship.” Hurtado, the Metros top scorer in 1998, will rejoin the team in late January for preseason training.
