The MLS Disciplinary Committee, upon videotape review, fined MetroStars forward John Wolyniec $500 and suspended him for two games for elbowing Columbus defender Chad McCarty in the face during last Saturday's game.
Game officials did not see the incident.

''As the ball is crossed into the penalty area, Wolyniec and McCarty jostle for position. Wolyniec then throws his elbow back toward McCarty, who is behind him. Wolyniec's elbow connects with McCarty's head causing a laceration and a concussion.''
