The Tampa Bay Mutiny’s friendly with an all-star team comprised of players from four First Division Guatemalan teams scheduled for June 23 has been cancelled, and will be rescheduled at a later date. “Due to airline reservation problems, the team couldn’t get out of Tampa either on its original flight, or on a secondary flight,” explained Mutiny GM Nick Sakiewicz. “The team wouldn’t have been able to get to Guatemala in time to prepare for the match Wednesday night. We’re disappointed, and are looking at our calendar so as to reschedule the match at a later date.” The Mutiny will return to a normal practice schedule in preparation for its match against the Los Angeles Galaxy on Sunday, June 27 at 1:00 p.m. (ET), followed by the U.S. U-17 team versus their English counterparts.
