New England was busy on Friday the 13th. The Revolution traded midfielder Jair to the San Jose Clash for midfielder Jeff Baicher. Earlier, the Revs traded newcomer Ariel Graziani to Dallas for Leonel Alvarez. “Today we have added a great defensive midfielder and a great attacking midfielder,” Revolution coach Walter Zenga said. “Leonel is one of the best defensive midfielders in MLS, and gives us fight and determination. Jeff is a dangerous player who works very hard to win the ball to set up his teammates. I feel we have given ourselves a chance to do great things for the rest of the season.” Baicher, who started 20 games for San Jose this year, is the second-leading scorer for the Clash in ’99 with three goals and nine assists. Jair started 16 games for the Revolution this year, recording one goal and one assist. In other news, the Revolution learned that midfielder Paul Keegan will miss 6-8 weeks with a grade 2-3 (moderate to severe) sprain of the medial collateral ligament in his right knee suffered in the Revs’ 2-1 loss to San Jose on Aug. 12.
