Colorado — F Steve Rammel (plantar fascitis) is out; MF Paul Bravo (injured MCL) is doubtful; MF Peter Vermes (sprained knee) is questionable; F Wolde Harris (bruised ankle) is probable.
Columbus — D Sergio Miguez (strained quadricep) is out; MF Marcelo Carrera (sprained MCL) is probable. AWAY: MF Doctor Khumalo (South Africa vs. Congo WC qualifier).
D.C. United — F Jaime Moreno (injured lower back) is questionable; D Clint Peay (strained calf), MF Marco Etcheverry (bruised lower leg/foot), MF John Harkes (sprained ankle) and MF Richie Williams (strained quadricep) are probable. AWAY: D Ben Iroha (Nigeria at Guinea WC qualifier); MF Marco Etcheverry and F Jaime Moreno (Bolivia at Colombia WC qualifier. MLS is talking to the Bolivian federation about the possibility of allowing Etcheverry and Moreno to play for D.C. against Columbus and then joining the Bolivian team on Sunday to prepare for the Aug. 20 qualifier.

Los Angeles — D Robin Fraser (strained groin) is out; MF Cobi Jones (hip strain) and F Jose Botello (groin strain) are probable. AWAY: F Eduardo Hurtado (Ecuador vs. Paraguay WC qualifier). “El Tanque” will be available to play on Aug. 14 against New England, but will miss the Aug. 17 match against San Jose.
MetroStars — MF Miles Joseph (sprained foot) is questionable; MF Mike Sorber (strained quadricep, and MF Tab Ramos (sprained ankle) are probable. AWAY: F Shaun Bartlett (South Africa vs. Congo WC qualifier), F Giovanni Savarese (Venezuela vs. Peru WC qualifier), F Antony De Avila (Colombia vs. Bolivia WC qualifier). Savarese and De Avila will play against Colorado Aug. 15, but will miss the Aug. 17 match in Kansas City. Bartlett will miss both games.
