MLS: Walker replaces Howard in the Metros' goal

The MetroStars acquired American goalkeeper Jonny Walker to replace Tim Howard, who was sold to Manchester United Monday.

The 28-year-old Walker has been in Chile since 1997, playing for First Division clubs Huachipato (1999), Universidad Catolica (2000-02) and Colo Colo (2003).

Walker helped lead Universidad Catolica to the 2002 Chilean Apertura championship and became the first American product to play in the Libertadores Cup, starting for UC in 2002 and playing one game for Colo Colo in 2003.
