Jenny Streiffer scored in the 76th minute to cut the Connecticut lead to 2-1. Notre Dame had a shot cleared off the line by a UConn defender. Holly Manthei corraled the clearance and drilled a ball into the box, where Streiffer (one of three charging Irish players) nailed it home with a diving header.
