Jeff Agoos, 36, has been traded from the San Jose Earthquakes to the MetroStars for a fourth-round pick in the 2005 MLS draft. Agoos, a 9-year MLS veteran, has won three MLS titles with D.C. United and two with San Jose.
The Texas product who played collegiate ball at the University of Virginia, where he celebrated the 1989 national title, made 134 U.S. national team appearances. He debuted for the United States in 1988, was a member of the 1998 World Cup team, played in the 2002 World Cup, and earned his last cap in 2003.
