In a team meeting, Kaiserslautern chairman Rene Jaeggi told the German First Division club's players that praising their coach publicly wasn't enough — they needed to get results now or Kurt Jara would get axed.

German daily Bild reported the statements the next day and the club was outraged that one of the 30 players in the closed-door meeting leaked the information to the press. Captain Timo Wenzel followed orders to gather all the players' cell phones from the locker rooms and inspect their calling records to discover who had talked with Bild.

The investigation proved futile, Jara still has his job, and Wenzel is not a very popular captain anymore.
