Chocolate salesman Chris Swatton won a raffle to accompany third-tier English league club Brentford on its FA Cup trip to Charlton.

Brentford coach Martin Allen, who devised the raffle to raise $4,300 for his team's lodging, promised the winner training with the team and attendance at the team's pregame lunch meeting, in the locker room and a spot in the dugout. Allen also allowed Swatton to wander into the coaches' technical area to shout advice to the team.

Just after Swatton conveyed his two cents to the players, Charlton scored its third goal in Brentford's 3-1 loss.

''He went out on the touchline and, bloody hell, they scored,'' Allen told the BBC. ''What did I say? '**** off, you're sacked!'''
