Goalkeeper Diego Fernando of Colombian club Deportivo Pasto reacted to news that he'd be on the bench by punching Coach Alvaro de Jesus Gomez in the face.
''This type of indiscipline cannot be tolerated, especially in an institution characterized by unity and solidarity,'' said the club in a statement after suspending Fernando.
In southern Serbia, Slavomir Milnovic lost his starting spot with amateur club FC Mramor, so he went home, took a tractor from the family farm, and plowed the club's field into unplayable condition. Authorities arrested and charged Milnovi with damaging private property.
