He's trashed a McDonald's, stomped on the head of an opponent and was once banned from England's U-18 national team for recreational drug use.

Now Newcastle midfielder Lee Bowyer has been fined $390,000 (six week's wages) by his club for an on-the-field fight — with a teammate.

''We are teammates and we have disagreements, but we should not be fighting in front of 50,000 people,'' said Kieron Dyer of the boxing bout that took place last Saturday during a 3-0 loss to Aston Villa.

The incident is being investigated by police and the Football Association.

In 1996, video cameras caught Bowyer tossing chairs around a McDonald's restaurant. He was fined $6,209 by his then-club Leeds and court-ordered to pay a $7,000 fine and to pay $250 to restaurant staff.

In 2002, Bowyer was suspended for six games for throwing an elbow in Premier League action and in 2003 was banned for six European matches after stomping on the head of a Malaga player in UEFA Cup action.
