Americans Esfandiar Baharmast and Janice Gettemeyer were among 29 referees and linespersons selected by FIFA to work at the Olympic men’s and women’s tournament this summer.
Baharmast was one of only two referees appointed from the CONCACAF region. Gettemeyer, who will run the lines, was one of nine women to be appointed.
