The Chicago Fire has used a portion of the allocation it is owed for the departure of DaMarcus Beasley to sign Slovakian international forward Lubos Reiter.

Fire coach Dave Sarachan is trying to rebuild an attack that also lost Damani Ralph (to the Russian First Division) and Ante Razov (traded to Columbus).

Reiter, 30, arrives from Sigma Olomouc of the Czech First Division. He has scored 66 goals in more than 200 league games. He has eight goals in 25 games for Slovakia.
