Steven Pienaar has called for his Everton teammates to up their performance levels for the final two Premier League fames of the 2008-09 campaign, at home against West Ham and away at Fulham.
Everton has won only one of its last six games. Pienaar, a South African international, stated that it is important to turn that form around ahead of the FA Cup final against Chelsea on May 30. "If you play with confidence and you are winning games, you can take that confidence through to the final and that's what the gaffer wants us to do. We want to lift our performance in the last matches that we will play. West Ham are fighting to get into Europe and we know that it is going to be a tough game."
The Toffees, whose goalkeeper is American Tim Howard, have guaranteed qualification for next season's Europa League, but the club seeks a fifth place finish. Everton currently lies one point behind fifth-place Aston Villa in the table.
