Reports in Italy claim that Real Madrid is willing to do all it can to secure the services of AC Milan’s Brazilian wizard, Kaka. Football Italia says several sources claim the Spanish giant is prepared to offer Mahamadou Diarra, former Milan center back Fabio Cannavaro, plus around $40 million in exchange for the 24-year old. Yikes.

As an added incentive to lure the player, Real says it’s prepared to sign Kaka’s 21-year old brother, Digao, who’s also a Milan player, though he’s currently playing with Serie B club Rimini on loan. Madrid has made no secret of its wish to bring the Brazilian star and Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo to the Bernabeu next season.

If anything, Milan’s form this season has shown a need for added cover in defense, so the additions of Cannavaro and Diarra as a defensive midfielder might be welcome under normal circumstances. However, short of the player’s wish to move to Madrid, Milan President Adriano Galliani has said Kaka cannot be bought for any price.
