Americans Jennifer Bennett, Kari Seitz and Sharon Wheeler have been nominated to serve as referees at the 2007 Women's World Cup in China.
The FIFA Referees Committee has drawn up a list of 51 women as candidates to referee at China 2007. The list is based on assessments carried out at the 2005, 2006 and 2007 Algarve Cups, the 2006 U-20 Women's World Championship and a selection course held on the Canary Islands in January 2007.
The 51 candidates will meet in Zurich, Switzerland, May 7-11 for a final selection course before the definitive list is published.
