The New England Revolution waived Portuguese defender Carlos Semedo on Thursday, ending the discovery player's three-and-a-half month stint with the club. Semedo, 22, started eight of the nine games he played for New England, but had not appeared in the past five games. The Revolution also released midfielder Scott Powers, a developmental player who did not count against the first team roster.
